And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit          - 2 Corinthians 3:18

Our vision is to help students transform mind, body and spirit by opening themselves to Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit through the practice of yoga and centering prayer

What is Yoga from a Christian perspective?

In response to God’s grace and mercy we move and breathe from the heart in an attitude of prayer, worship, surrender and compassion.  Mark 12:30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.

A regular yoga practice honors the body - reduces stress and blood pressure, strengthens muscles, improves posture, reduces risk of injury through improved balance and coordination, increases flexibility and range of motion, calms the nervous system. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?  You are not your own; you were bought at a price.  Therefore, honor God with your body.

The physical postures in combination with the breath work quiet the mind and prepare the heart and mind for centering prayer. Psalm 46:10, Be still and know that I am God"; Isaiah 26:3, You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, whose thoughts are fixed on you.
